Anyone who has stayed at Hotel Galli knows it: You arrive as a guest, you leave as a friend is our compass. It's how we choose to treat the people who trust us with their holiday, and the same principle naturally extends to their most loyal travel companions.
At the Galli, pets, and dogs in particular, aren't simply "allowed." They're welcomed, recognised, looked after. Our team has learned to read their signals, to respect their rhythms, to treat them with the same care we reserve for the humans they travel with. Because, after all, they're on holiday too.
A welcome kit made for them
The welcome begins right at the reception desk, where a bowl of fresh water is always ready for your dog to settle in after the journey. Up in the room, a small dedicated set is waiting: treats, a ball and waste bags for your walks. Small gestures, but the kind that make the difference between a hotel that accepts you and one that welcomes you.
If you'd like a bowl to keep in the room, just ask at the front desk: we always have a few on hand to lend you for the length of your stay. On request, we can also provide an additional dog bed to make sure your companion is as comfortable as you are.
At lunch and dinner, your dog is welcome at the restaurant
Here's something we're particularly proud of: at Ristorante Il Cenacolo, both at lunch and at dinner, your dog can stay right by your side. No separate rooms, no compromises. While you enjoy the Chef's cuisine, we'll have a few biscuits and a bowl of fresh water waiting for your companion.
Breakfast is the one moment of the day when we ask you to leave your dog in the room: for service reasons and out of respect for our other guests, pets aren't allowed in the breakfast room. A small exception that helps us protect everyone's peace of mind — humans included.
Livigno with your dog: trails, mountain air and freedom
A holiday with your dog is only really a holiday if there's something beautiful waiting outside the hotel too. And on that front, Livigno doesn't disappoint.
In summer, dozens of kilometres of trails wind through the woods and along the Spöl stream, ready for long walks at your own pace. And when you make your way back, even Livigno's pedestrian centre invites you to stroll through it slowly, the way you only walk when you're really on holiday.
Hotel Galli is just a few steps from the centre, which means every outing with your dog is easy, immediate, with no need to take the car.
A few things to know before you book
To make sure every guest enjoys a peaceful stay, we'd ask you to keep a few practical details in mind.
Size and number: we welcome dogs of all sizes. Just let us know at the time of booking.
Temperament: it's important that your dog is comfortable around other people and other dogs.
Insurance: we ask you to hold a private insurance policy covering your pet.
Cleaning fee: a one-off fee of € 20.00 per dog applies for the entire stay, regardless of length or size. The fee is waived in the case of dedicated promotions.
House rules and check-in: at the time of booking and on arrival we'll ask you to read our pet policy, to check the condition of the room together with us and flag any pre-existing damage, and to countersign a liability waiver. It only takes a few minutes — and it helps us all start off on the right paw.
