Taste, typicality, atmosphere: these are the keywords, or, to stay on the theme, the three secret ingredients, that on July, 15th will characterize the 2022 edition of the eagerly awaited Gourmet Trail!
A route will be laid out along 5 km of the Vago valley, in the beautiful Livigno, and will host six stops, where there will be the opportunity to enjoy delicious gourmet finger food proposals.
This is an unmissable event, a real taste trail... and what a taste!
Taste, typicality, atmosphere: the stages of the 6th edition of the Gourmet Trail
Let's start with the first ingredient to describe this wonderful event, organized by the Livigno Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association and attended by no less than five starred chefs: taste.
The theme chosen this year is Valtellina, and the real challenge for the chefs will therefore be to revisit typical Valtellina preparations and ingredients in a gourmet key. We will witness an exaltation of the most authentic Valtellina flavors, which, while maintaining their traditional imprint, will be presented in a new and original guise.
All courses will be served, starting with starters, moving through first courses, main courses, desserts and ending with coffee. The dishes will then be accompanied by a careful selection of Valtellina wines, fine and delicious. Here, then, is the second ingredient of the event, typicality.
All this will take place in a simply unique and natural atmosphere, immersed in the peace of a mountain path, wrapped in the scent of the forest and overlooked by a clear sky. All this will give your taste experience an incredible added value!
A real journey through flavors is what we want to give you. Yes, you got it right, WE want to: our Chef Luca, together with some members of the brigade of the restaurants Il Cenacolo and La Pòsa, will participate at the “Gourmet Trail” and he’s already experimenting, trying, tasting many new things to leave you speechless.
A pure taste experience among the flavors of Valtellina
The “Gourmet Trail” in Livigno is the perfect opportunity to try a quality, unique experience that will leave you with a special memory of your holiday in Valtellina, a land that knows how to give so much to its guests.
Attending this day is also a great way to pay tribute to the commitment of the Livigno Chefs and Pastry Chefs Association, which has been working hard for years to keep intact the flavors of the old tradition. They did it in many different ways, starting with the book Leina da Saor, which collects all the traditional Livigno recipes, but also through the realization of the TAST-Livigno Native Food project, through which the flavors of the past are brought to the tables of participating restaurants, up to the sixth edition of the Gourmet Trail on July, 15th!
